Dear Sir / Madam,
We are pleased to inform you that the MATEXIL (formerly SRTEPC) is organizing participation of Indian companies in the COLOMBIATEX 2026, scheduled to be held from 27th to 29th January 2026 at the Plaza Mayor Convention and Exposition Center, Medellín, Colombia.
About Colombiatex:
COLOMBIATEX is the largest textile fair in Latin America, covering the entire textile value chain. It attracts key buyers from the Latin American region, offering an excellent opportunity for our members to tap into this growing market. It offers a unique opportunity for businesses to showcase their products and services to a wide range of exhibitors from all over the world. Colombia is a critical market in Latin America, with a growing demand for textiles, especially Man-Made Fiber (MMF) textiles and Technical Textiles.
India’s exports to Colombia have shown steady growth over the past few years. In the area of MMF textiles, exports increased from US$ 29.52 million in FY 2023 to US$ 38.76 million in FY 2024, before slightly adjusting to US$ 32.24 million in FY 2025. During the period from April to July 2025, MMF textile exports amounted to US$ 12.42 million. In the technical textiles sector, exports grew from US$ 2.85 million in FY 2023 to US$ 3.70 million in FY 2024, with exports for the period of April to July 2025 reaching US$ 2.37 million.
This growth demonstrates the increasing demand for high-quality textile products, particularly MMF and Technical Textiles, in Colombia and Latin America. The COLOMBIATEX 2026 fair is an ideal platform to further strengthen India’s presence in this market.

Booth Allocation

The booth space will be allocated to the companies that submit the complete application form along with the full payment on first-cum-first serve basis.

Important Note:
The Council has applied for Financial Assistance under the MAI scheme. However, like many other EPCs, the Council has still not received any approval. If the above exhibition gets approved under MAI, the Council will provide suitable reimbursements to the participants.
Application & Payment Details:
Exporters registered with MATEXIL (formerly SRTEPC) or other Textiles EPCs can apply for participation. Members interested in participating in the above event are requested to send their duly filled-in “Application Form” with participation fee by way of Demand Draft/Cheque at par in favor of “Manmade and Technical Textiles Export Promotion Council”, Mumbai. The participation charge may also be sent to the Council through RTGS/NEFT transfer based on the bank details given below:

Withdrawal & Refund Policy:
- Once the booth is allotted, withdrawal or no-show is not permitted, and the deposited amount will be forfeited.
- No refund will be made in case of individual visa/travel issues.
- A refund will only be processed if a national-level travel ban is imposed or the Council cancels its participation in the event.
