Sub: Constitution of Committee on Enhancing Cost Competitiveness and Innovation
Dear Sir/Madam,
We are glad to inform you that the Ministry of Textiles has constituted a “Committee on Enhancing Cost Competitiveness and Innovation” to work as an advisory body to the Ministry.
Shri Shaleen Toshniwal, Chairman, MATEXIL has been appointed as the Chairperson of this Committee.

Representatives from leading Export Promotion Councils, Industry Bodies and Companies are members of this Committee.
Objectives of the Committee:

To identify cost disadvantages across the textile value chain and propose measures to reduce them.

To recommend strategies that enhance productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness of Indian exporters.

To promote innovation through R&D, digital technologies, design, and sustainable practices.

To align India's textile industry with global benchmarks on cost-efficiency and innovation.
- To support the long-term vision of positioning India as a global leader sustainable, high-quality, and innovative textiles.
