Sub: Request for Inputs on the impact of tariffs imposed by U.S on Indian products
Dear Sir/Madam,
As you are aware, the U.S has imposed reciprocal tariff of 25% + an additional tariff of 25% (Total 50%). The Government is assessing the impact of the tariff of 50% on Indian Exports of Textiles & Clothing.
In this regard, Government has sought inputs from our Council vide email dated August 28, 2025- a Copy of which is reproduced below.
positively by 5 p.m. Tomorrow (29th August, 2025) so that consolidated data can be sent to the Ministry.
We solicit your support in the matter and look forward towards receiving the inputs/suggestions.
