Sub: Invitation to Participate in Webinar on “ESG & Sustainability Regulations for MMF and Technical Textiles Exporters” on May 30, 2025
Dear Sir/Madam,
As you are aware, exports of Textiles and Clothing will be Subjected to various Rules and Regulations related to Sustainability, Circularity & Environmental Standards. It has, therefore, become extremely important for exporters to acquaint and prepare themselves to fulfil these Standards and Requirements.
In this regard, we are pleased to inform you that the Council is organizing a Webinar on “ESG & Sustainability Regulations for MMF and Technical Textiles Exporters”.

The Webinar will provide an opportunity to have greater insights into the various ESG and Sustainability regulations, especially prevailing in the EU, US and Australia market along with advisory to incline with the current and future requirement of leading export markets.
Speakers
Ms. Luisa Balaban, Sustainability Lead – Western Europe, TUV Rheinland, Germany and Dr. Charu Jain, Sustainability Lead – Asia Pacific, TUV Rheinland, India will be the Speakers of the Webinar.
About the Speakers
Ms. Luisa Balaban has a background in corporate sustainability across consumer goods, textiles and packaging, currently supporting brands and retailers across their portfolio of projects in her role as Western Europe Sustainability Lead for TUV Rheinland. Her work has been supply-chain and commodity focused, developing and implementing identity cotton strategies such as Better Cotton within brick-and-mortar retailers and online e-tailers in Europe, the UK and North America.
Dr. Charu Jain is a Sustainability leader with deep insights into circularity, traceability, and sustainable manufacturing across the value chains. In her career span of 25 years, she has served various leadership positions with organisations such as Burberry, DyStar, Gap Inc, and C&A Foundation to implement sustainability practises and has well-rounded experience across the breadth of Product Manufacturing from design, raw materials, standards and certifications, sustainability, EU Policy and multi-stakeholder collaborations for Textile, Fashion, Chemicals and related industries.
Q & A Session
There will be a Question & Answers session during which the members can seek clarification on any issues related to ESG & Sustainability Regulations. The members can also put forth their suggestions on any aspect related to MMF & Technical Textiles.
The Webinar is being conducted by the Council free of cost for its members.
