Sub: Invitation to Participate in 2nd Master Class on “Modacrylic Fibres – Applications & Advantages” on December 19, 2024 – Virtual Mode
Dear Sir/Madam,
As you are aware, the Government has assigned the role of Export Promotion of Technical Textiles to our Council, we are pleased to inform you that as part of our Action Plan to increase exports, the Council has successfully organized its first Master Class which received an overwhelming response from the industry.
In this regard, the Council is organizing the next Master Class on “Modacrylic Fibres – Applications & Advantages” on Virtual Mode.
Details are as follows:

Time: 3 to 4 p.m.
The Master Class will cover the following topics:
• Benefits of Modacrylic fibre (Protex)
• How it performs for Flame Retardancy.
• Typical fibre blends where Protex is used in
• End uses Protex fibre protects against
• Future Developments of Protex Fibre
• Why use Waxman Fibres, the benefits the Waxman fibre route can provide throughout the supply chain.
The Master Class will provide an opportunity to have greater insights into the Moda-Acrylic Fibres, their production process, technology used, their applications and export markets along with advisory to increase Exports.
Speaker
Mr. Phil Briggs, Technical Director, Waxman Fibres Ltd., UK will be the Keynote Speaker of the Master Class.
About the Speaker
Mr. Briggs holds a master’s degree in Textile Technology and has accomplished Textile FR specialist with over 20 years’ experience in standards, testing, certification, fibre/fabric developments and providing end user solutions for arc flash workwear. He has launched several successful projects that meet the evolving demands of the workwear market whilst adhering to rigorous safety standards.
Q & A Session
There will be a Question & Answers session during which the members can seek clarification on any issues related to exports. The members can also put forth their suggestions on any aspect related to Exports and Imports of Technical Textiles.
The Master Class is being conducted by the Council free of cost for its Members.
