We are glad to inform you that our Council, MATEXIL (Formerly SRTEPC) will be organizing a Seminar on "Mega Trends in the Global Textile Industry: Impact on India".

Details are as follows: 

Date:     November 08, 2024

Time:    6:00 p.m. onwards followed by Cocktail & Dinner

              Registration starts at 5.30 p.m.

Venue:  Hotel Sofitel, La Grande Maison, BKC, Mumbai.

A presentation on the above subject will be made by Gherzi Textil Organisation. 

The Presentation will cover the following areas:

1. Emerging Trends and Changes in the Global Textiles Industry since the dismantling of the MFA Regime.
2. Shift in Sourcing Strategy from Bangladesh and Vietnam by Leading International Buyers – Opportunities for India.
3. Shift from Natural to Man-made Fibres.
4. Changing Consumption Pattern in Developed Countries and developing Countries in Asia.
5. Preparation needed for Indian Textiles Sector for a Sustainable long-term Future.
6. Policy perspective for the Indian Textiles Industry to reposition itself for a profitable and Sustainable future.

In addition, there will be a Panel Discussion on this subject in which there will be experts from the industry as the speakers. The Panel Discussion will be moderated by Mr. Navdeep Sodhi, Partner, Gherzi Textil Organization.

There will also be a Roadshow on Bharat Tex 2025 in which details about the event will be provided.
