Sub : Invitation to participate in International Textile Fair – Preview in Daegu 2024 from 13 to 15 March 2024 

Dear Members, 

We are glad to inform you that the Council will be participating in the International Textile Fair in South Korea during March 2024. 

The details of the Fair are as follows :  

About Preview in Daegu 2024 : 

PREVIEW IN DAEGU is the leading Textile Fair in Korea, the perfect place to find all kinds of leading-edge textile products. The professional fair is specialized on textile products and their materials for both domestic and international markets.  This fair takes place every year.  The Fair attracts a large number of buyers from South Korea as well as from other countries.  PID also offers a variety of events such as trend forum displaying the largest textiles, on/offline biz meeting, seminars and more. 

India’s Exports of Man made Fibre Textiles to South Korea the year 2023 :  

• South Korea’s total global import of MMF textiles were around US$ 3.41 billion during 2022 in which India’s share is less than 2%.    
• Yarn were the dominant products with nearly 48% share followed by fabrics 37%, made-ups 11% and fibre 3%.  
• Major Indian MMF textiles being exported to South Korea are Polyester Cotton Yarn, Polyester filament yarn, Polyester Wool yarn, viscose spun fabrics, Viscose Cotton fabrics, Bulk Container and Viscose Staple Fibre etc.
• Major suppliers of MMF Textiles to South Korea are Indonesia, China, USA, Turkiye, Vietnam, Japan, Italy, Germany etc. 

Participation Fees 

The event is covered under Market Access Initiatives (MAI) of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India subject to the prescribed conditions. 

We are pleased to offer you a subsidized participation fees of Rs.90,000/- for a 9 sq. mtr booth with standard accessories. Further, eligible exporters under MAI guidelines will be re-imbursed airfare of Rs. 90,000/- (economy class air travel) or actual (whichever is lower).  A copy of relevant extracts of MAI guidelines is enclosed herewith (Annexure A) 

Visa 

SRTEPC will issue the Visa Recommendation letter to the participants. 

Application for participation 

Exporters registered with SRTEPC and other Textiles EPCs can apply for participation.  Members interested in participating in the above event are requested to send their duly filled in “Application Form” with participation fee by way of Demand Draft/Cheque at par in favour of “The Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council”, Mumbai.  The participation charge may also be sent to the Council through RTGS/NEFT transfer based on the bank details given below.  Participation will be accepted on “First-Come-First-Served” basis with full payment latest by 30^th December, 2023

Cancellation Policy: 

Withdrawal of participation from the above Fair will be allowed on the basis of the following: 

• 80% Cancellation charge, if withdrawn on or before 5^th January, 2024 
• No refund will be available if withdrawn thereafter.
