Sub: Request for Details of Technical Textiles Products Exported
Dear Member,
As you are aware, the Government has assigned the role of Export Promotion of Technical Textiles to SRTEPC (copy of Office Memorandum dated 12th September of Ministry of Textiles is enclosed herewith (click to download) which is self-explanatory). Further, DGFT vide Notification No. 54/2015-2020 dated 15th January 2019 has notified 207 HSN codes as Technical Textiles (copy attached) (click to download).
The Council has started taking steps that are necessary for export promotion of Technical textiles. The Council is extensively interacting with senior officials in the Ministry of Textiles and other Ministries to discuss various aspects related to exports of Technical textiles. The Council has also constituted a Sub-Committee on Technical Textiles with experts from leading Companies that are exporting Technical textiles, as its members . We will be having interactive meetings with Technical textiles exporters very shortly in addition to conducting various awareness programs.
In the meanwhile, in case, you are exporting any Technical Textile products including products falling under the list of 207 HSN codes notified by DGFT as Technical Textiles , we would request you to please send us details of such products in the enclosed format (click to download) by email on the email IDs a.jaiswal@srtepc.in with a CC to es@srtepc.in . This will enable us in formulating suitable strategy for export of Technical textiles and also in having fruitful discussions with the Government.
