Sub: Recovery from transferee of e-scrip under RoDTEP Scheme
Dear Member,
As you are aware, in the case of E-scrips issued under the RoDTEP Scheme , there is a provision under which the Customs Department can initiate recovery proceedings from the “transferee" of such E-scrips if the payments are not realized from the overseas buyer against the relevant Shipping Bill.
CBIC has now issued Notification No.75/2022-Customs (N.T.) dated 14th September, 2022 to remove the provision of recovery from the "transferee" of the E-scrips issued under the RoDTEP Scheme.
A copy of CBIC Notification No. 75/2022-Customs (N.T.) dated 14th September, 2022 is enclosed herewith.
You are requested to please take a note of the above and do the needful.
