Dear Sir,

Sub: Categorization of Membership for Election for the financial year 2022-23

We would like to inform you that the next Annual General Meeting of the Council is scheduled to be held on 29^th September 2022 (Thursday). There will also be Elections held to fill up the vacant seats in the Committee of Administration of the Council. 

In this regard, only those registered Members of the Council who have renewed their Membership for the year 2022-2023 (up to 10^th Aug 2022) and have also submitted export figures of Man-Made Fibre Textile Items falling under the purview of this Council for the year 2021-22 are entitled to vote at the Election.

You are, therefore kindly requested to send the hard copy of Proforma (download) duly filled in and signed by you clearly stating the exports of Man-Made Fibre Textile Items during the preceding three financial years i.e., 2019-20, 2020-21 & 2021-22 on or before 11^th Aug 2022 to the SRTEPC Mumbai office address.

We wish to reiterate that only the authorized representatives of the Ordinary Members whose names have been registered in the Council are eligible to vote and stand for election. Please send your change of authorised representative request letter on your company letter head along with self-certified copy of pan/aadhar to enable us to update our records. Last date to change the authorised representative is 12^th Aug 2022. Please note that in case you do not send the name of the Authorized Representative, your existing representative name will be final.

Also, kindly note that as per the Articles of Association of the Council, the rules regarding the representative are as follows:  

• A sole proprietary firm or Hindu undivided family shall be represented by its proprietor or Karta, as the case may be.  
• A partnership firm shall be represented by any one of the partners authorized by the firm.
• Any Body, Corporate, Company or Co-operative Society or other Corporation, which is a member of this Council shall, by a resolution of its Board of Directors or other Governing body, authorize any of its Director or any person as it thinks fit to act as its representative.

Please note that members, who do not furnish the above information/renew membership by 10^th Aug 2022 will not be eligible to vote for the forthcoming Election. Please do note last date for submission for proforma is 11^th Aug 2022 and for change of authorised rep is 12^th Aug 2022.
