Continuation of the existing GST rates in Textile Sector beyond 01.01.2022

Sub.: Continuation of the existing GST rates in Textiles Sector beyond 01.01.2022

Dear Member,    

We would like to inform you that the GST Council has recommended to defer the decision to change the rates in textiles recommended in the 45^th GST Council meeting. Consequently, the existing rates in Textile Sector would continue beyond 1^st January, 2022.

This decision was taken today during the 46^th GST Council's Meeting held under the chairmanship of the Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Shri Nirmala Sitharaman. In this regard, a Press Release has been issued by the GST Council.
