Re: Invitation to participate in HEIMTEXTIL IN GERMANY during January 2022

Dear Members,

We are glad to inform you that the Council is organizing participation of its member-companies in HEIMTEXTIL in Germany from 11 to 14^th January 2022 in association with the Embassy of India in Germany. The participation of Indian companies in HEIMTEXTIL is supported by Ministries of Textiles/Commerce & Industry under the MAI Scheme of Govt. of India.

Heimtextil is the largest International Trade Fair for Textile Interior Design in Frankfurt am Main. During Heimtextil 2020, 62970 trade visitors from across the world came to visit the leading International Trade Fair for home and contract Textiles. More than 2900 Exhibitors presented their innovations during the trade Fair.

The highlights of HEIMTEXTIL 2022 are as follows:

Minimum Number of participants: 10 member-companies under MAI Scheme.
Participation Fees : Rs.3.75 Lakhs for a furnished booth of 12 sqm. (inclusive of Compulsory Media Package)

Please note that the participation fee is subsidized as per the MAI grant, but does not include airfare, hotel accommodation, transportation etc.

Booth package: Fascia board as per the MF India Pavilion theme, Carpet, White wood octanorm walls, Shelf Boards or Fabric rod of 1 Meter Panel (distribution between shelf boards and fabric rods can be selected by exhibitor up to total 5 quantities), 1 Table 70cm x 70cm round or square, 3 Chairs, 1 Hand disinfecting pump, 1 Waste paper basket, 1 Triple Electric outlet, 4 LED lights, 2 Pin board, and basic power supply.

Additional furniture/equipment will be available with additional cost.

Location of booths: Availability of booths in hall no. 10.0 and 6.1.

Publicity & Promotion: The event will be published extensively by Organizers of the renowned International Fair in Germany. The Council will also publicize the Fair suitably by sending invites to relevant textile importers in Germany, social media and coordinating with the Indian Embassy to promote the event to the leading importers of home textiles & contract textiles among other publicity measures.

Financial Grant:

As SRTEPC is organizing participation of member-companies in HEIMTEXTIL in Germany under the MAI Scheme of Govt, all eligible participating companies have been offered MAI subsidy for reduced participation charge as above, subject to the fulfillment of certain conditions.
SRTEPC will provide to all eligible participants reimbursement of costs of 2-way airfares, subject to the fulfillment of certain conditions. The reimbursement of cost of economy class airfare to eligible participants will be limited with a maximum ceiling of Rs.75000/-, subject to approval of MOC under MAI Scheme.

Criteria for availing reimbursement of airfare:

Reimbursement of airfare is eligible to the exporting company having the export turnover below Rs.50 crores (FOB value) in the preceding financial year.
Members have completed 12 months of Membership and are regularly filing Export returns with the Council.
Permissible only to the regular Director / Partner/ Proprietor or a regular officer of the company on Senior Managerial Position (not admissible to a foreign national)
Claim forms duly filled in and complete in all respects must be submitted to the Council within 45 days of completion of the event.
Initially duly filled in MAI Application form for claiming reimbursement of air fare should reach to Council on or before 14 days of your departure date from India to Germany.

Conditions for availing MAI subsidy:

An exporter can avail MAI benefit for participation in 3 approved events in a financial year. 4^th time participation in the Fair will be allowed without MAI subsidy.
An exporter can claim MAI benefit for participation in one booth only. Additional booths can be booked by the participant without MAI benefit (One booth per company only for MAI eligibility)
A maximum of three participations in a particular trade fair/exhibition would only be eligible for MAI assistance, i.e., members who have availed assistance three times (including past cases) for a particular fair/exhibition, thereafter, have to participate in that fair on their own.

Visa: Though participants will have to obtain their visa on their own, the Council shall, however, facilitate their efforts to get Visa with the help of the Indian Embassy in Germany.

Travel Restriction to Germany: In view of concerns regarding COVID 19 vaccination and possibilities of persons travelling to Germany for the fair, it may kindly be noted that COVISHIELD being approved by WHO under EUL gives persons complete access for travel, without and restrictions, quarantine, etc.

COVAXIN persons if planning to stay for 5 days need not quarantine as per AUMA (The Trade Fair Association in Germany) In case of stay more than 5 days, they will need to quarantine for five days (before the show dates) and provide negative test report on the 5th day of their quarantine term.

There is a ray of hope that within a week COVAXIN should be receiving the approval from WHO.

Apply for participation: Exporters registered with SRTEPC, and other Textile EPC’s can apply for participation. Members interested to participate in the above event are requested to fill the “Online Reply Form” and pay the participation fee by way of Demand Draft/Cheque at par in favour of “The Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council, Mumbai. Participation charge may also be sent to the Council through RTGS/NEFT transfer based on the Bank details mentioned below. Participation will be accepted on a “First-come-First served “basis.
